The Uganda Climate Mobility Blueprint explores how climate change is reshaping patterns of human mobility across the country and provides a strategic framework for enabling positive adaptation pathways for people and communities. As droughts, floods, and landslides increasingly affect livelihoods and settlements, the Blueprint highlights climate mobility as both a present reality and a future challenge for Uganda.

Developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process, the Blueprint outlines practical actions to help communities remain where they choose, support informed mobility and planned relocation where necessary, and create the conditions for newcomers to thrive. By integrating climate mobility into national adaptation and development planning, the Blueprint promotes resilient livelihoods, inclusive governance, and coordinated action to ensure that climate mobility becomes a pathway to resilience and sustainable development rather than a driver of vulnerability.
