About this report:

This catalogue presents possible Nature-based and hybrid solutions that contribute to achieve water security in complex physical and socioeconomic conditions. The catalogue can serve as a basis to further explore the implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in these types of contexts and their contribution not only to water security but also to the wellbeing of communities and the ecosystem. It covers the theoretical foundation required to understand water security, complex physical and socioeconomic conditions, and NbS. It also discusses the relevance of these theoretical concepts to the assertion that NbS can enhance water security in complex conditions. After, a catalogue of viable NbS and hybrid measures is shown, as well as conclusions about the study.
